Bookstores, art galleries, music stores, newspapers, service and civic clubs, and more can sponsor a contest to promote their business while
supporting the arts in your community. If you choose, you can even make a profit on this community event to help your independent business or local charity and remain viable in a global economy of fierce competition.
HOW IT WORKS
- You sign up as an association or business member, then a sponsor. Click here to sign up now.
- You send your local papers or radio stations public service announcements provided by us with your business or organization name.
- You hang posters designed by us and printed on your printer with your name and location information in your business.
- We send flyers to local schools to run off and pass out to students.
- You feature the contest and our website address in any ads you run.
- Contests do best running 3 to 6 weeks.
- We provide many flyers you can photocopy and hand out to customers.
- You agree to feature the contest on your Home page (if you have a website) with a link to your Contest page on our website.
- You collect the entries and mail or email them to us in one shipment.
- By agreeing to the above and sponsoring the arts in your community, we waive the $10 entry fee for each entry. This increases the value you are providing for the community.
- For each entry, the contestant must purchase at least one book. This will cut down on pranksters or one person dumping 100 entries on you (i.e., if they enter 3 entries, they must purchase 3 books). It assures everyone in
your community gets a chance to participate.
- These books retail for $18.95. You may sell them for that and keep $3.95 profit per book, or you may sell them for $15 and keep no profit (50 total books minimum). Keep in mind, this event alone will drive traffic to your
store or website and build community good will and get your name in front of thousands of local community members.
- The $5 per book shipping charge can also be waived if you agree to receive all the books at your location and distribute them. (Another chance to bring people to your location and increasing the value to your community.)
