CREATIVE EXPRESSIONS get published easy

Everyone can get published at least 1 way.

Every entry is eligible for publishing in a Creative Expressions Book by purchasing a copy.

Winners are published on site.

Appropriate entries will be published in Owl Creek Journal.

All winners will be published in Nearly Famous Winners books once 100 winners have been chosen.

Some contestants and/or winners may be picked to appear in our anthology.

Owl Creek Media may offer you a book contract.

Never compete against more than 100 others.

1 out of every 100 will win $150.

Local bookstores win with free publicity if they buy 5 books and host an event for a local writer.

Bookstores can have a contest with their name as a sponsor on a book.

Each winner submits about their hometown and we feature this information on site.

Winners get to buy discounted books to sell at full retail, helping them recoup entry fees. (Must be registered newsletter subscriber as discount link is sent through email.)

Contests are held regularly.

One winner will be chosen for every 100 entries.

Winning entries receive $150 and free Nearly Famous winners book once a 100 contests are complete.

Top 3 winners will be published in the winners section, other winners will have their name and any contact information they wish published there.

Some winners and/or entries may be published in Owl Creek Journal or an anthology.

Some winners may be featured on our stage.

There is no limit to the amount of entries, but each entry must include $15 entry fee.

Some winners may be published on a t-shirt or a book cover released by Owl Creek Media.

Winners will be announced on our blog or newsletter that goes out to readers in the arts industries, including agents.

HOW TO ENTER

To see rules and guidelines of current contest

Go to the page in the area of arts you are interested in (i.e., poetry, art, stories, etc.).

Click on the buy button and complete payment process

Copy your order number from the reciept in the subject box and write the category in the subject box and copy and paste your entry directly in the e-mail For music entires, you must first post your video on You Tube then send the link to us in an e-mail.

If you would like to guarantee publishing, also click the box button of Owl Creek Art Center’s entries book. The book is $15.00, plus $5 shipping. There is no additional shipping charges regardless of how many copies you order if you choose Ground Shipping at checkout.Every entrant who purchases this book at time of entry will be published. If you are the winner, you will also be published in a separate book entitled, “Nearly Famous”. You will receive this book for free.

Part of the contest criteria is your ability to build community by getting fellow creative artists involved, as well as friends, family, and your local community. This is reflected in the # of books bought.

Every 100 entries are grouped as a block. Send your personal community to the site to buy a copy of the book you’ll appear in! The blocks with the most support will get community support points in the judging category.

The book group that sells the most copies will have “Most Community Supported Artists” listed as their book title.

Best of all, you would have engaged in local and national community by bringing support to your art center and helping more people see not only your talent, but that of your fellow artists. Plus, you will have engaged your community in art appreciation.

Another hope of this system is that you will reach out to find a group of other artists in your area or join in an arts group and register as a group, so all your sites will benefit each other. To do this, collect everyone’s money, and at checkout mark the number of entrants and recalculate, then order the number of books everyone wants. Your group will have its own buy button to track your sales and you will all be published in the same book this way and you’ll pay only $5 for shipping, no matter how many ordered (shipped to one address only).

Poetry groups or art clubs can effectively publish their own book this way merely by entering a contest and purchasing how many books they want. The retail price will be listed as $18.95, so your group could even sell them and make a profit, as long as you have 100 entries, the book will only feature your group’s works. You may also want to see The Local Books Project for fewer entries. This assures one of your memebrs will be a winner.
